Joan of Arc was a French heroine who led her country to victory during the Hundred Years' War. Believing she was guided by divine visions, she played a key role in lifting the Siege of Orléans and supporting Charles VII’s coronation. Captured by the English, she was executed in 1431 and later canonized as a saint.
